Happiness and Health: Diversity in Adversity: Examining the Nature of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Substance Use Risk
Different racial/ethnic subgroups have historical experiences that influence their overall health behaviors and outcomes across generations. The experiences could lead to differences in prevalence and nature of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). This study examines the nature of ACEs and it’s impact on different forms of substance use (nicotine, cannabis, and opioids).
Healthy Minds: Race/Ethnicity- and Sex-Stratified Analysis of Polysubstance Use and Mental Health Symptoms
College students who use multiple substances are increasing, and present a unique risk profile. This study examines prevalence and gender and racial/ethnic differences in mental health outcomes by polysubstance (alcohol, marijuana, e-cigarette) use patterns among college students.
